  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix

  • 8 oz cream cheese, cut into small cubes

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

  • ½ cup milk

  • 1 tbsp lemon zest (optional for extra brightness)

For Garnish (Optional):

  • Powdered sugar for dusting

  • Fresh lemon slices

  • Whipped cream


Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven and Prepare the Pan
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.

Step 2: Layer the Ingredients
Spread the lemon pie filling evenly over the bottom of the prepared dish.
Dot the cream cheese cubes evenly across the lemon pie filling.
Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the top—do not stir.
Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix, covering as much as possible.
Pour the milk gently over the entire surface to moisten any remaining dry spots.
Optional: Sprinkle lemon zest over the top for extra lemon flavor.

Step 3: Bake
Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.

Step 4: Cool and Serve
Let the dump cake cool for about 15 minutes before serving.

Notes
