Description

These Hot Honey Salmon Bites are sweet, spicy, and absolutely irresistible. Bite-sized pieces of tender salmon are coated in a sticky, flavorful hot honey glaze, making them the perfect dish for a quick dinner, party appetizer, or protein-packed snack. Ready in just 30 minutes, they’re a crowd-pleaser you’ll want to make again and again!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb salmon, skin removed and cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Hot Honey Glaze:

  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional for extra heat)

Instructions

Step 1: Season the Salmon

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the salmon cubes to the bowl and toss gently to coat each piece evenly with the seasoning mixture.

Step 2: Cook the Salmon

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add a drizzle of olive oil.
  2. Place the salmon bites in the skillet, ensuring they’re spaced apart to sear properly.
  3. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Step 3: Make the Hot Honey Glaze

  1. In a small saucepan, combine honey, hot sauce, soy sauce, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Heat over low-medium heat, stirring until the mixture is smooth and slightly thickened, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 4: Toss and Serve

  1. Add the cooked salmon bites back into the skillet and pour the hot honey glaze over them. Toss gently to coat each piece in the glaze.
  2. Serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds or chopped green onions if desired.

Notes

  • Pat the Salmon Dry: This ensures a good sear and prevents sticking.
  • Adjust the Heat: Control the spice level by increasing or reducing the amount of hot sauce and red pepper flakes.
  • Cook in Batches: Avoid overcrowding the pan to get a crisp sear on the salmon.
