Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- Drain and set aside.
Step 2: Cook the Beef Mixture
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.
- Add the onion and garlic, and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
Step 3: Assemble the Casserole
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta and beef mixture. Mix well to coat evenly.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle cheddar cheese evenly over the top, followed by mozzarella.
