Perfect for backyard barbecues, family dinners, or a healthy weeknight meal, this dish is a guaranteed hit.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Salmon Skewers:

  • 1 lb salmon fillet, skin removed, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Wooden or metal skewers (soaked in water if using wooden)

For the Creamy Dill Yogurt Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

Step 1: Marinate the Salmon

  1. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the salmon cubes to the marinade and toss gently to coat. Let marinate for 15 minutes while you prepare the sauce.

Step 2: Make the Dill Yogurt Sauce

  1. In a small bowl, combine Greek yogurt, fresh dill, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Step 3: Assemble the Skewers

  1. Thread the marinated salmon cubes onto the skewers, spacing them slightly apart for even cooking.

Step 4: Grill the Skewers

  1. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  2. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, turning gently, until the salmon is opaque and cooked through.

Step 5: Serve

  1. Remove the skewers from the grill and let rest for a minute. Serve warm with the creamy dill yogurt sauce on the side or drizzled on top.

Notes

  • Don’t Overcook: Salmon cooks quickly; keep an eye on it to prevent drying out.
  • Use Fresh Dill: It adds a bright, fresh flavor to the sauce.
  • Soak Wooden Skewers: This prevents them from burning on the grill.
