- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Carrots
- Place the carrots in a large skillet and add just enough water to cover them.
- Bring the water to a boil, reduce the heat to medium, and simmer for 8-10 minutes, or until the carrots are just tender.
- Drain the water and set the carrots aside.
Step 2: Prepare the Glaze
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Stir in the honey (or maple syrup), brown sugar, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
Step 3: Combine and Cook
- Add the cooked carrots back to the skillet, tossing them in the glaze.
- Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the carrots are well-coated and the glaze thickens slightly.
Step 4: Garnish and Serve
- Transfer the glazed carrots to a serving dish and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
