Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large raw shrimp (peeled & deveined)

  • 1 bunch asparagus (ends trimmed)

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)

  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp lemon zest

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Foil Packs
Tear 4 large sheets of foil (about 12–14 inches each). Lay flat and lightly spray with nonstick spray or brush with olive oil.

Step 2: Season the Shrimp
In a bowl, toss shrimp with melted butter, garlic, lemon juice & zest, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.

Step 3: Assemble
Divide asparagus evenly among foil sheets. Top with seasoned shrimp and drizzle any extra sauce from the bowl over each pack.

Step 4: Wrap & Cook
Fold foil over the shrimp and asparagus, sealing edges tightly to make a packet.

  • Oven Method: Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15–17 minutes.

  • Grill Method: Grill over medium heat for 10–12 minutes, flipping once.

Step 5: Serve & Enjoy
Carefully open packets (watch the steam!), garnish with fresh parsley and lemon wedges, and serve hot.

Notes

Use fresh or thawed shrimp for even cooking.

Cut asparagus evenly so it cooks at the same rate.

Add a few cherry tomatoes or thin lemon slices inside for a flavor boost.

Don’t overcook—shrimp turn rubbery fast! Remove as soon as they’re opaque.
