Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas, sliced into 1-inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar (packed)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Pinch of salt
- Oil, for frying (vegetable or coconut oil works well)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Cinnamon Butter
- In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
- Stir in the brown sugar, cinnamon, and honey. Let it melt together and bubble slightly, creating a smooth, syrupy consistency.
- Add a pinch of salt to enhance the flavors and set the sauce aside.
Step 2: Fry the Bananas
- Heat about 2 tablespoons of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Once the oil is hot, add the banana slices in a single layer (you may need to do this in batches).
- Fry the bananas for about 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy on the outside.
- Remove the bananas from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
Step 3: Drizzle with Cinnamon Butter
- Once the bananas are fried and crispy, transfer them to a serving dish.
- Pour the sweet cinnamon butter over the bananas, coating them evenly.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Use Ripe Bananas – The riper the bananas, the sweeter and more flavorful they will be when fried.
Don’t Overcrowd the Pan – Fry the bananas in batches to ensure they get crispy on all sides.
Adjust the Sweetness – If you like things extra sweet, you can add more honey or sugar to the cinnamon butter.
