Ingredients

Scale

For the Dip:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup lump crab meat (fresh, canned, or imitation)
  • 2 green onions, chopped (plus more for garnish)

For Topping (Optional):

  • ¼ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

For Serving:

  • Wonton chips, tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh veggies

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2: Prepare the Dip Mixture

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Beat until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add garlic powder, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and shredded mozzarella cheese. Mix until well combined.
  3. Gently fold in the crab meat and green onions, ensuring they’re evenly distributed.

Step 3: Assemble the Dip

  1. Spread the mixture evenly into a greased baking dish.
  2. (Optional) In a small bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs and melted butter. Sprinkle over the top of the dip for a crispy, golden finish.

Step 4: Bake the Dip

  1. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and lightly golden on top.
  2. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Quality Crab: Use lump crab meat for the best flavor and texture. Imitation crab works as a budget-friendly alternative.
  • Make Ahead: Assemble the dip up to a day in advance, cover, and refrigerate. Bake just before serving.
  • Extra Creaminess: For an even creamier dip, add ¼ cup heavy cream to the mixture.
