Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease your baking dish with olive oil or non-stick spray.
Step 2: Mix the Base Layer
In a bowl, mix together cream cheese, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and half of the mozzarella and parmesan cheeses.
Spread the mixture evenly into the bottom of your baking dish.
Step 3: Add Tomatoes & Cheese
Top the cream cheese mixture with halved cherry tomatoes.
Sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
Drizzle olive oil over the top and add a pinch more salt and pepper.
Step 4: Bake Until Bubbly
Bake for 18–20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the edges are golden and bubbling.
For an extra golden top, broil for an additional 1–2 minutes, watching closely.
Step 5: Garnish & Serve
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
Sprinkle with fresh basil and a drizzle of balsamic glaze if using.
Serve warm with your favorite dippers.
Notes
Use Room Temperature Cream Cheese – It spreads more evenly and melts smoothly.
Go Fresh – Fresh mozzarella slices or pearls can be used for extra stretch.
Add Balsamic Glaze – A drizzle right before serving adds sweetness and acidity.
Layer It Up – Add a layer of pesto or roasted garlic for a flavor twist.
Serve Warm – Best enjoyed fresh out of the oven while it’s gooey and melty.
