Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box vanilla or yellow cake mix (15.25 oz)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup pastel M&M’s or candy-coated chocolate eggs
  • ½ teaspoon salt (optional, enhances flavor)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Batter

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix cake mix, melted butter, eggs, brown sugar, vanilla, and salt (if using) until smooth.
  3. Fold in white chocolate chips and ¾ cup of the pastel M&M’s (saving some for topping).

Step 2: Bake the Cookie Bars

  1. Spread the batter evenly in the baking pan. Sprinkle the remaining ¼ cup M&M’s on top.
  2. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and set in the center.

Step 3: Cool and Serve

  1. Let the bars cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  2. Slice into squares and enjoy!

Notes

  • Don’t Overbake: The bars will continue to set as they cool.
