Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped dill pickles
  • 1 tbsp pickle juice
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill (chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup crushed crackers or panko breadcrumbs (for coating)
  • 1 tbsp dried dill (for coating)

Optional Garnishes:

  • Extra chopped pickles
  • Fresh dill sprigs

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Cheese Mixture

In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar, chopped dill pickles, pickle juice, garlic powder, onion powder, fresh dill, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.

Step 2: Chill the Mixture

Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes. This helps firm up the cheese so it’s easier to roll into balls.

Step 3: Shape the Cheese Balls

Using a small spoon or cookie scoop, form the cheese mixture into bite-sized balls.

Step 4: Coat the Cheese Balls

In a shallow dish, mix crushed crackers or panko breadcrumbs with dried dill. Roll each cheese ball in the coating mixture until fully covered.

Step 5: Serve & Enjoy

Place the cheese balls on a serving plate. Garnish with extra chopped pickles or fresh dill for a beautiful presentation. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to enjoy!

Notes

Use Cold Ingredients – This helps the cheese balls hold their shape.
Chill Before Rolling – The mixture firms up, making it easier to handle.
Customize the Coating – Try rolling in crushed nuts, bacon bits, or extra shredded cheese.
