Ingredients

Scale

For the Whipped Coffee:

  • 2 tbsp instant coffee granules

  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar

  • 2 tbsp hot water

For Serving:

  • 1 cup cold milk (any type: whole, almond, oat, etc.)

  • Ice cubes

Instructions

Step 1: Whip the Coffee Mixture

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the instant coffee, granulated sugar, and hot water.

  2. Using a hand mixer or a strong whisk, beat the mixture vigorously for about 2–5 minutes until it turns light brown, thick, and forms stiff peaks.

  3. If whipping by hand, it may take a bit longer, but the fluffy texture is worth it!

Step 2: Prepare the Milk Base

  1. Fill a glass with ice cubes.

  2. Pour the cold milk over the ice, leaving a little room at the top for the whipped coffee.

Step 3: Assemble the Dalgona Coffee

  1. Spoon the fluffy whipped coffee mixture gently on top of the milk.

  2. Use a spoon or straw to swirl the layers slightly if you like, or leave it beautifully layered.

Step 4: Serve and Enjoy

  1. Serve with a straw or a long spoon.

  2. Stir the whipped coffee into the milk before drinking for the perfect creamy blend.

Notes

Use Instant Coffee – Regular ground coffee won’t whip properly.
Hot Water is Key – Hot water helps the coffee and sugar dissolve and whip faster.
Whisk Until Thick – Look for stiff peaks; the mixture should hold its shape.
Sweetness Level – Adjust the sugar to make it more or less sweet based on your preference.
Experiment with Milk – Try different kinds of milk for unique flavors (almond milk, oat milk, etc.).
