Ingredients
Scale
For the Steak:
- 1 lb steak (sirloin, ribeye, or filet), cut into strips
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
For the Alfredo Sauce:
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
For the Pasta:
- 12 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice
- 2 tablespoons pasta water (reserved)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Extra Parmesan cheese (for topping)
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente.
- Reserve 2 tablespoons of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
Step 2: Cook the Steak
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season the steak strips with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Add the steak to the hot skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Step 3: Make the Alfredo Sauce
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly.
- Add the Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
Step 4: Combine Everything
- Add the cooked pasta to the Alfredo sauce, tossing to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to loosen it.
- Return the cooked steak to the skillet, mixing gently with the pasta.
Step 5: Serve and Enjoy
- Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese.
- Serve hot and enjoy your creamy garlic steak Alfredo!
Notes
- Use High-Quality Parmesan: Freshly grated Parmesan melts better and gives the best flavor.
- Don’t Overcook the Steak: Remove it from heat as soon as it’s done to keep it tender and juicy.
- Adjust the Sauce Consistency: If the sauce is too thick, add a little more pasta water or cream.
