Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans of refrigerated croissant dough (8 oz each): For flaky, buttery layers.
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted: To brush the layers.
  • ¼ cup honey: Adds natural sweetness.
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon: For that classic, warm spice.
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar: To enhance the cinnamon filling.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract: Adds depth to the flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar (optional): For a dusting garnish.

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Filling

  1. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, honey, cinnamon, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Step 2: Roll Out the Dough
2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
3. Unroll the croissant dough and separate it into rectangles, keeping two triangles together to form each rectangle. Pinch the seams to seal.
4. Roll each rectangle slightly with a rolling pin to even out the dough.

Step 3: Layer the Filling
5. Brush a thin layer of the cinnamon-honey mixture over each rectangle of dough.
6. Stack the rectangles on top of each other, filling side up. Once all the layers are stacked, carefully slice the stack into 4-5 equal sections.

Step 4: Arrange and Bake
7. Place the sections upright into the prepared loaf pan, slightly fanning them out.
8. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and cooked through. If the top browns too quickly, cover with aluminum foil during the last 10 minutes of baking.

Step 5: Cool and Serve
9. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a serving plate. Dust with powdered sugar, if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Chill the Dough: If the dough becomes too soft to handle, refrigerate it for 10-15 minutes before slicing and arranging.
  • Don’t Overfill: Spread the filling thinly to avoid excess leakage during baking.
  • Make It Extra Indulgent: Drizzle additional honey over the bread just before serving for a glossy finish.
