Description

Cheesy Bruschetta Dip is everything you love about fresh bruschetta—juicy tomatoes, garlic, herbs—layered over a bubbling, melty blend of cheeses. This hot dip is rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced by the bright, zesty bruschetta topping. It’s ideal for parties, game day, or cozy nights when you’re craving something warm, cheesy, and full of flavor. Serve it with toasted baguette slices or crackers, and watch it disappear.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Cheesy Base:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • ½ cup sour cream

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese

  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • Pinch of salt and pepper

For the Bruschetta Topping:

  • 2 cups diced roma tomatoes (seeded)

  • 2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

For Serving:

  • Sliced toasted baguette

  • Crackers or crostini

  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Bruschetta Topping

  1. In a bowl, combine diced tomatoes, chopped basil, garlic, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil.

  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Let sit for 15–20 minutes so the flavors can marry.

Step 2: Make the Cheese Mixture

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.

  3. Stir in mozzarella, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic, salt, and pepper.

  4. Spread mixture evenly in a greased 8×8 baking dish or oven-safe skillet.

Step 3: Bake the Dip

  1. Bake the cheesy base for 15–18 minutes, or until hot and bubbly with golden edges.

  2. Remove from oven and let cool slightly for 5 minutes.

Step 4: Assemble the Dip

  1. Spoon the fresh bruschetta topping over the warm cheese layer.

  2. Garnish with additional basil if desired.

Step 5: Serve

  1. Serve immediately with toasted baguette slices, crostini, or crackers.

  2. Keep warm in a low oven or warming tray during gatherings.

Notes

Use Fresh, Ripe Tomatoes – Roma or vine-ripened work best for flavor and texture.
Seed the Tomatoes – Reduces excess moisture and prevents a watery topping.
Let the Bruschetta Marinate – Boosts the flavor while the dip bakes.
Customize the Cheese – Try fontina, provolone, or gouda for variation.
Make It Ahead – Assemble cheese layer in advance and store covered in fridge. Bake and top when ready.
