Ingredients

Scale

For the Deviled Eggs:

  • 12 large eggs

  • ⅓ cup mayonnaise

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • ½ tsp Cajun seasoning

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

For the Cajun Shrimp:

  • 12 small shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • ¼ tsp garlic powder

For Garnish:

  • Fresh parsley or chives, chopped

  • Extra Cajun seasoning for sprinkling

  • Lemon wedges (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Hard-Boil the Eggs

  1. Place the eggs in a large pot and cover with cold water by about an inch.

  2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

  3. Once boiling, turn off the heat, cover the pot, and let sit for 10–12 minutes.

  4. Transfer eggs to an ice bath to cool completely before peeling.

Step 2: Prepare the Shrimp

  1. While the eggs cool, toss the shrimp with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, paprika, and garlic powder.

  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook shrimp for about 1–2 minutes per side until pink and cooked through.

  3. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.

Step 3: Make the Deviled Egg Filling

  1. Peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise.

  2. Gently remove the yolks and place them in a mixing bowl.

  3. Mash the yolks with a fork until crumbly.

  4. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

  5. Mix until creamy and smooth. Use a hand mixer for an even silkier texture if desired.

Step 4: Assemble the Deviled Eggs

  1. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture into the egg white halves.

  2. Top each deviled egg with one cooked shrimp.

  3. Sprinkle with additional Cajun seasoning and garnish with chopped parsley or chives.

Step 5: Serve and Enjoy

  1. Arrange the deviled eggs on a serving platter.

  2. Serve immediately or chill until ready to enjoy.

Notes

Use Medium or Small Shrimp – They fit perfectly on top of the eggs.
Don’t Overcook Shrimp – They cook very quickly; keep an eye on them.
Adjust the Spice – Increase or decrease the Cajun seasoning based on your heat preference.
Use Fresh Lemon – A little citrus brightens the rich, spicy flavors.
Pipe the Filling – For a clean, professional look, use a piping bag or zip-top bag.
