These Banana Pudding Cheesecake Squares combine the creamy richness of cheesecake with the classic flavors of banana pudding for an irresistible dessert. With a buttery graham cracker crust, a creamy cheesecake filling, and topped with fresh banana slices and whipped cream, this treat is a crowd-pleaser that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 6 tbsp butter, melted

For the Cheesecake Filling:

  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream

For the Banana Pudding Layer:

  • 1 package instant banana pudding mix (3.4 oz)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • Whipped cream, for topping (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Crust

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and sugar. Add the melted butter and mix until the crumbs are well coated.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×9-inch baking dish to form an even layer.
  4. Bake for 8 minutes and then set aside to cool.

Step 2: Make the Cheesecake Filling

  1. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  2. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully combined. Spread this cheesecake mixture over the cooled crust.

Step 3: Make the Banana Pudding Layer

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the banana pudding mix and milk according to the package instructions (usually about 2 minutes of whisking).
  2. Pour the banana pudding mixture over the cheesecake layer and spread it evenly.

Step 4: Add Banana Slices

  1. Top the pudding layer with sliced bananas, arranging them evenly on top.

Step 5: Chill and Serve

  1. Refrigerate the dessert for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to let the layers set and meld together.
  2. Before serving, top with whipped cream for added creaminess and texture.

Notes

Use Ripe Bananas – For the best flavor and texture, use ripe bananas that are just beginning to brown.
Chill Overnight – The dessert sets better and the flavors meld together if you let it chill overnight.
Use a Springform Pan – If you prefer, you can make this dessert in a springform pan for easier slicing.
