Ingredients
For the Crust:
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ¼ cup sugar
- 6 tbsp butter, melted
For the Cheesecake Filling:
- 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
For the Banana Pudding Layer:
- 1 package instant banana pudding mix (3.4 oz)
- 2 cups milk
- 2 ripe bananas, sliced
- Whipped cream, for topping (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Crust
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and sugar. Add the melted butter and mix until the crumbs are well coated.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×9-inch baking dish to form an even layer.
- Bake for 8 minutes and then set aside to cool.
Step 2: Make the Cheesecake Filling
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully combined. Spread this cheesecake mixture over the cooled crust.
Step 3: Make the Banana Pudding Layer
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the banana pudding mix and milk according to the package instructions (usually about 2 minutes of whisking).
- Pour the banana pudding mixture over the cheesecake layer and spread it evenly.
Step 4: Add Banana Slices
- Top the pudding layer with sliced bananas, arranging them evenly on top.
Step 5: Chill and Serve
- Refrigerate the dessert for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to let the layers set and meld together.
- Before serving, top with whipped cream for added creaminess and texture.
Notes
Use Ripe Bananas – For the best flavor and texture, use ripe bananas that are just beginning to brown.
Chill Overnight – The dessert sets better and the flavors meld together if you let it chill overnight.
Use a Springform Pan – If you prefer, you can make this dessert in a springform pan for easier slicing.
