Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large croissants – Freshly baked or from the store, these are the base for the croissant sandwiches.
  • 8 slices turkey ham – Choose thinly sliced turkey ham for a tender, savory bite.
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese – The mild, nutty flavor complements the ham perfectly.
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard – For a tangy flavor boost.
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted – For brushing the croissants before baking.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder – To add a savory depth to the croissants.
  • Salt and pepper, to taste – For seasoning.

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2: Prepare the Croissants

  1. Slice the croissants in half horizontally, creating a top and bottom for each sandwich.
  2. Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on the inside of the bottom half of each croissant.

Step 3: Layer the Ham and Cheese

  1. Place 2 slices of turkey ham on each bottom half of the croissants.
  2. Add a slice of Swiss cheese on top of the ham.

Step 4: Assemble and Brush with Butter

  1. Place the top half of the croissant on each sandwich.
  2. Brush the outside of each croissant with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Step 5: Bake the Croissants

  1. Place the assembled croissants on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until the croissants are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 6: Serve and Enjoy

  1. Remove from the oven and allow them to cool for a minute.
  2. Slice and serve warm—perfect for a quick meal or party snack!

Notes

  • Use Fresh Croissants: For the best results, use fresh croissants from a bakery or make your own.
  • Add Veggies: Add a few slices of tomato or spinach inside the croissants for added flavor and texture.
  • Make Them Ahead: Assemble the croissants and refrigerate them until you’re ready to bake. This works great for meal prep or when hosting guests.
