Description

There’s something incredibly indulgent about warm, melty Baked Brie topped with cranberries, walnuts, orange zest, and a hint of rosemary. It’s a perfect appetizer for gatherings, impressing guests with its stunning presentation and irresistible flavors. Sweet, tart, nutty, and aromatic—this dish has it all!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 wheel of Brie (812 oz): Choose your favorite brand; both double and triple cream work well.
  • 1/3 cup fresh or dried cranberries: Adds tart sweetness.
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped: For a delicious crunch.
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup: Balances the tartness.
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest: For a bright, citrusy touch.
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped: For an earthy aroma.
  • Crackers, baguette slices, or apple slices: For serving.

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Oven

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease an oven-safe dish.

Step 2: Assemble the Brie

  1. Place the Brie on the prepared baking sheet or in the dish.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the cranberries, walnuts, honey (or maple syrup), orange zest, and rosemary.
  3. Spoon the mixture evenly over the top of the Brie.

Step 3: Bake

  1. Bake the Brie for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is soft and gooey but not completely melted.
  2. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 2-3 minutes before transferring to a serving plate.

Step 4: Serve

  1. Serve warm with crackers, baguette slices, or fresh apple slices.
  2. Garnish with extra rosemary sprigs or a drizzle of honey if desired.

Notes

  • Don’t Overbake: Keep an eye on the Brie to avoid it becoming too runny.
  • Use Fresh Rosemary: Its flavor is much more vibrant than dried.
  • Make It Ahead: Assemble the topping in advance and refrigerate. Add it to the Brie just before baking.
  • Extra Crunch: Toast the walnuts lightly before using for enhanced flavor.
